Leather shoe care instructions

  1. To protect leather from external factors (direct sunlight, moisture, dryness, heat), as well as to soften it, you must use special creams that contain wax. Prevention should be carried out once a month, adhering to the following rules:
    • Cleanse the leather before application. If the leather was wet, allow time to dry;
    • Apply a small amount of cream on a piece of cloth and rub it into the leather in a circular motion;
    • Wait about 10 minutes until the cream is absorbed into the leather;
    • Use a piece of dry cotton cloth to polish leather.
  2. After the street, shoes should be immediately cleaned on the same day.
  3. Do not wear wet and poorly dried leather shoes on the street, as they can deform and stretch, and at a air temperature below 0 ℃ moist leather may crack.
  4. For leather care is NOT ALLOWED:
    • Dry it with help of heating devices (batteries, electric heaters, hair dryers, etc.). Only natural drying at room temperature is acceptable, pre-stuffing the product with paper or pads.
    • Use sponges with silicone. Silicone clogs pores, prevents the excretion of water.
    • Use acetone, benzene and alcohol-containing products (even wet wipes). All this destroys collagen fibers.
  5. Before removing leather shoes for the “next season”, it must be treated with a moisturizer, inserted into the block, imitating the shape of the foot, or tightly stuffed with paper.
  6. Colored leather shoes cannot be painted. Observing all the rules of care and maintenance, you will extend the life of your pair of shoes.
  7. After the acquisition, it is advisable to put prevention on the sole. This will help protect the sole from abrasion, deformation and moisture, as well as avoid more expensive repairs in the future.
  8. Leather shoes soften over time and take the form of a foot. If the pair is a bit tight, it should be noted that the skin stretches only in width up to a maximum of 5 mm.

Suede shoe care instructions

  1. To protect suede from external factors (direct sunlight, moisture, dryness, heat), it is necessary to use special aquaphobic sprays. Prevention should be carried out immediately after purchase, observing the following rules:
    • Clean suede before application. If the suede was wet, allow time to dry;
    • Apply the spray evenly on the entire surface of the shoe;
    • Wait for the full impregnation with the product for 24 hours;
  2. In case of moisture, dirt after applying a hydrophobic agent, just wipe the shoes with a special brush with a soft nubuck pile.
  3. For suede care is NOT ALLOWED:
    • To wear wet and poorly dried shoes to prevent deformation and stretching. Full drying of suede is 20 hours;
    • To dry suede under a battery or near an open flame. Only natural drying. It is better to use special dryers;
    • To use leather products containing alcohol, acetone, or benzene.
  4. Before removing suede shoes for the “next season” in the box, you need to treat the pair with a special tool, insert pad inside or tightly stuffed with paper.
  5. Colored suede shoes cannot be dyed. Observing all the rules of care and maintenance, you will extend the life of your couple.
  6. After the acquisition, it is advisable to put prevention on the sole. This will help protect the sole from abrasion, deformation and moisture, as well as avoid more expensive repairs in the future.
  7. Suede shoes soften and take the form of the foot over time after wearing. If the pair is a bit tight, keep in mind that suede is stretched only up to a maximum width of 5 mm.

IMPORTANT!

Manufacturers of shoes made from natural materials sew a piece of leather or suede on the inside.
Due to this shoes do not slip and do not rub when walking.
However, if moisture (sweat, rain) has got on this area, this can lead to staining (color transfer of shoes to the skin of the foot).
In this case, we recommend that you repair your shoes and treat the suede with a professional color lock for suede.

Instructions for the care of varnished shoes

Do you want your shoes to always look brilliant?

It is worth remembering the observance of the conditions for the care and storage of patent leather shoes.

  • Varnished shoes are not allowed to be worn in the heat (maximum temperature up to +25 degrees Celsius) or severe frost (maximum permissible temperature for shoes is 0 degrees)
    The varnished film changes its appearance under the influence of too high or too low temperatures.
    The first signs of the onset of the deformation process are considered tarnishing and the appearance of microcracks on the varnish surface.
  • It is not permitted to use a room heater, electric shoe dryers, or other electric means to dry shoes. Rising temperatures can cause cracks. Varnished shoes should only be dried only at room temperature.
  • Shoes should be wiped with a flannel cloth or other soft, natural cloth. Do not use a sponge or brush. They can damage the surface of the varnish.
  • For varnished shoes, special tools have been developed that will ensure the luster of the coating. Make sure that the composition of the special tool includes: lanolin, castor oil or glycerin.
